It’s a wrap!
BITS Biomedical has officially concluded its first ever training under the Biomedical Training Program, and this year’s run closed strong with three successful batches.
What started as an initiative to strengthen industry knowledge has turned into an incredible experience for both the team and the participants. With the positive feedback received, the team is even more excited for what is coming next.
As we close the year, let’s take a quick look back at what happened during this training series.
Three Batches, One Goal
The first batch took place on November 13, 2025. Participants included operating managers, supervisors, biomedical service engineers, and medical equipment technicians who were eager to refresh and strengthen their technical foundations.
The momentum continued with the second batch on November 27, 2025. This group was composed of professionals from various hospitals, all looking to sharpen their understanding of biomedical metrology.
Finally, the third and last batch for 2025 wrapped up on December 11, attended by participants from Valenzuela Medical Center, World Citi Medical Center, East Avenue Medical Center, and other partner hospitals. This batch included biomedical engineers, medical equipment technicians, engineering heads, and supervisors.
What the Training Covered
The program focused on providing a comprehensive introduction and refresher on key concepts in biomedical metrology. These included:
- Biomedical Metrology Basics
- Calibration Principles and Practice
- Measurement Uncertainty
- Traceability and Standards
The training was intentionally designed for biomedical professionals of all levels, whether they are establishing foundational knowledge or enhancing existing expertise. It was also suitable for QA and QC personnel, calibration staff, and healthcare administrators involved in equipment management.
A Closer Look Inside BITS Biomedical
One of the highlights of the program was the facility tour. Participants were given the opportunity to walk through the BITS Biomedical laboratory where calibration processes take place. Although brief, this tour was a crucial addition to the training because it allowed attendees to see firsthand how equipment is received, handled, and processed inside an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited facility.
This hands-on component helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, giving participants a clearer understanding of what happens behind the scenes.
Looking Ahead
With three batches successfully completed and an overwhelmingly positive response, BITS Biomedical looks forward to expanding its training programs in the coming year. The team remains committed to empowering biomedical professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to maintain safe, reliable, and high-quality medical equipment.
More learning opportunities are on the horizon, and this is just the beginning.
Training resumes in 2026. Stay tuned for our upcoming schedule and be among the first to secure your slot once registration opens.
